Why “free top-up” may not mean free money

A top-up or reload promotion commonly adds bonus value after a qualifying deposit. The bonus portion can be called free, but the player still commits their own money and may have to wager both balances. Check whether withdrawing the cash deposit cancels the bonus or related winnings.

Compare total commitment

Start with the minimum deposit, then calculate the wagering target using the exact base in the terms. Add game-contribution limits and the time available. A smaller bonus with a lower target may be less restrictive than a large percentage with a high multiplier, but neither removes the risk of loss.

Questions to answer

  • What must I pay or do to qualify?
  • Which balance is spent first?
  • What is the full wagering target?
  • Can I opt out before playing?
  • What happens to cash and winnings if I cancel?
  • Are there maximum bet, conversion or withdrawal limits?
